 This small home called the Tashmoo Cottage was built with loving care by a sculptor and a carpenter couple. White pickled wood cathedral ceilings and natural slate tilework accented by skylights and lots of windows, gives the feeling of being outside in the surrounding forest, while enjoying the privacy of the home. The living room has a wood stove that doubles as a fireplace to cozy up around on a cool evening. A full kitchen is open to the livingroom. A large deck measuring 12'x28' invites you to outside dining during the sunsets. Beautiful Tashmoo Beach is only one mile from from the front porch. You can easily bike or walk through the forest on a pleasant dirt road leading there. It's perfect for a morning jog.

The home would fit best for two mature couples or a couple with two children. The neighboorhood has a quiet "end of the road" character, but is close to Vineyard Haven shopping , entertainment and resturants.

$1000/week Off-season

1st floor: The Tashmoo Cottage has two equal sized bedrooms, one has a queen bed, the other two twins. There is one full bathroom, and an additional outside shower. A full kitchen and a good sized livingroom is all on the 1st floor.

Amenities: The kitchen has dishwasher, microwave, gas stove, coffemaker, toaster, large fridge with icemaker, tumbled marble countertops and a butcherblock penninsula. There are kitchen utensils, pots and dishes. Linens and towels for all beds are provided. There is an ironw/board, telephone. There is a cable TV with VCR, stereo CD player, ceiling fans and a wood stove. There is an outside shower and a small fish pond in the front yard. The deck has table and chairs for 4 and two airondeck chairs.

Beach: 1 mile to Tashmoo Beach

Restrictions: occupancy for 4, no smoking
